Step 1: Download Your Meesho GST Reports

Before filing, you must download the official monthly GST reports from your Meesho Supplier Panel:

  1. Log in to supplier.meesho.com.
  2. Click on Payments in the left navigation menu and select GST Reports.
  3. Choose the month you are filing for (e.g., July 2026).
  4. Download both the TCS Sales Report (tcs_sales.xlsx) and the Return Report (tcs_sales_return.xlsx).

Step 2: Understand How Meesho Returns Are Handled

Under GST regulations, e-commerce retail customer returns from previous months must be deducted from current forward sales in the corresponding customer delivery state.

However, if returns exceed new sales for a specific state, the net amount becomes negative. The GST portal schema rejects negative numbers. GSTWali solves this by clamping negative state buckets to ₹0 and carrying forward the remaining credit balance to the following month.

Step 3: Generate the Portal JSON File

  1. Open GSTWali Meesho JSON Tool.
  2. Upload your tcs_sales.xlsx and tcs_sales_return.xlsx.
  3. Review your net taxable turnover, IGST/CGST/SGST tax liability, and HSN Table 12 totals.
  4. Click Download GSTR-1 JSON.

Step 4: Upload JSON to the GST Portal

  1. Log in to services.gst.gov.in.
  2. Go to Returns Dashboard > Select Financial Year & Return Period > Click Search.
  3. Under Details of outward supplies of goods or services (GSTR-1), click Prepare Offline.
  4. Click Upload and select the JSON file generated by GSTWali.
  5. The portal will validate and process your return in seconds with zero schema errors.
