Frequently Asked Questions

Find clear, practical answers about GSTWali features, marketplace report formats, and GST portal compliance.

How does GSTWali generate GSTR-1 JSON?

GSTWali parses raw sales and return spreadsheets exported from Meesho, Flipkart, Amazon, and Myntra. It aggregates Place of Supply (POS) states, maps HSN codes, subtracts customer returns, and outputs a schema-compliant GSTN v5.0 JSON file ready for direct portal upload.

Why does the GST portal give an error when uploading JSON files?

Most upload errors happen due to schema mismatches: negative taxable numbers in Table 7/Table 12 (caused by high returns) or missing HSN unit quantity codes. GSTWali prevents these errors by enforcing schema compliance, clamping negative states to zero, and carrying forward credits.

Is my sales data uploaded to any server?

No. GSTWali processes all spreadsheets 100% locally inside your web browser using client-side WebAssembly. No customer order lines, buyer names, or financial records are uploaded to external databases.

Can I file for multiple marketplaces in one return?

Yes. In Consolidated Mode, you can upload reports from Meesho, Amazon, Flipkart, and Myntra simultaneously. GSTWali combines all transactions into a single unified GSTR-1 JSON file.

What pricing plans are available?

Individual sellers can choose between ₹99/month or ₹999/year. Multi-GSTIN sellers can use the Smart Seller Pro plan (₹199/month or ₹1,999/year for up to 3 GSTINs). Chartered Accountants can choose between 10 to 100+ GSTIN tiers starting at ₹499/month.
