This Privacy Policy applies to the GSTWali Web Application (https://gstwali.in) and the official Google Chrome Extension "GSTWali: eCommerce TCS Calculator & Auto-Matcher" (Extension ID: fpgfpopbgmfdadckckngcifghafgljdj), developed and operated by GSTWali / Arjun Yadav ("we", "us", or "our").

🔒 Zero-Storage & Client-Side File Processing

GSTWali is architected on a privacy-first, in-browser execution model. All sales spreadsheets, customer invoice details, delivery addresses, and financial reports from marketplaces (Meesho, Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra) are parsed directly inside your local web browser memory via WebAssembly. Your raw sales files are NEVER uploaded, stored, or inspected on our remote servers.

1. Single Purpose & Item Scope

The sole purpose of GSTWali: eCommerce TCS Calculator & Auto-Matcher is to assist Indian eCommerce sellers and tax professionals in calculating Tax Collected at Source (TCS) under Section 52 of the CGST Act, reconciling marketplace deductions, and preparing portal-ready GSTR-1 returns.

2. Data Collection & Handling (Chrome Extension)

The Chrome Extension collects only the minimum necessary data to provide its single calculation utility:

Active Tab Text & Marketplace Order Data: When activated by the user on supported seller portals (e.g. Meesho Supplier Panel, Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub), the extension reads relevant tabular order totals and TCS settlement amounts displayed on the page to calculate tax deductions. This computation occurs purely in local browser memory.
Local Storage (chrome.storage.local): Stores user configuration preferences (such as selected filing month and default state) locally on the user's computer.
No Personal Web Browsing Tracking: The extension does NOT track browsing history, access unrelated web pages, capture keystrokes, or intercept passwords.

3. Data Collection & Handling (Web Platform)

When you create an account on our web application, we collect standard SaaS account credentials:

Account Identifiers: Email address, mobile phone number, and account display name (secured via Google Firebase Authentication).
Subscription & Profile Metadata: Active subscription tier, registered business GSTIN profiles (for slot quota management), and monthly filing counters.

4. Chrome Web Store Disclosures & Developer Certifications

No Sale of Data: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade user data to data brokers, advertisers, or third parties under any circumstances.

No Unrelated Use: We do not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to the extension's core single purpose.

No Lending or Creditworthiness Assessment: We do not use or transfer user data to determine creditworthiness or for loan/lending purposes.

No Targeted Advertising: We do not track users across the web or serve personalized third-party ads.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Extension Data: All local extension data is purged immediately when you clear browser cache or uninstall the Chrome Extension.
Web Account Deletion: You may request complete deletion of your account, email, and registered GSTIN profiles at any time by emailing us at support@gstwali.in. Requests are processed within 48 hours.

6. Security Measures

All communications between your browser and our platform utilize industry-standard Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3 / HTTPS encryption). Account authentication is safeguarded through enterprise-grade Firebase infrastructure.
